NABOCADO Annual Progress Report 2022

The Navrongo-Bolgatanga Catholic Diocesan Development Organization (NABOCADO) is delighted to share our annual progress report from January to December 2022, with our stakeholders - Partners, Donors and community members who are all cooperating and playing their part to ensure transparency, development and progress for all.

During the year under review, the Diocesan Livelihood and Advocacy Directorate contributed in facilitating smallholder farmers adoption of sustainable agricultural practices (SAP) for increased productivity, development and implementation of Climate Adaptation Action Plans (CAPs) in rural communities to improve smallholder farmers resilience towards effects of climate change, access to credit for women enterprises through savings and internal lending concept (SILC), and dry season local vegetable production and consumption using mechanized solar boreholes.
Furthermore, the Good Governance Justice and Peace (GGJP) directorate supported the Mother of Mercy Babies Home (MMBH), the Centre for Child Development (CCD) and the Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission (DJPC) in promoting conflict transformation and peacebuilding for social cohesion, and protection of babies and children to experience human dignity. These were achieved through; Integrated Peacebuilding for Improved Food and Nutrition Supply Project, KAYAPORT project and Sahel Peace Initiative among others.
In addition, the Diocesan Health Service continue to provide 24-hour health care which mainly centres on curative, preventive and promotive services. For the Health Sector, the year under review witnessed unstable service delivery flow due to poor Government reimbursement of National Health Insurance claims.
